Services

The practice focuses on the specific legal issues that relate to hearing loss or deafness in areas such as job discrimination, access to education and to facilities open to the public, and workers’ compensation and private insurance issues.

  • Working to secure that those with hearing loss receive effective access to and enjoyment of facilities open to the public
  • Working to ensure equal educational and employment opportunities for those with hearing loss
  • Working to obtain appropriate benefits for those who have lost their hearing at work, or for those covered by private disability insurance

Much of Mr. Waldo’s work to ensure effective access to public places and events is done on behalf of the Washington Communication Access Project, or Wash-CAP. We invite those who find that a hearing loss reduces their social, civic, educational and cultural opportunities to click on the Wash-CAP section of the website and learn how Wash-CAP can work for them.
